I heard Pastor Chuck Smith on the radio talk about Genesis 3:9 where God calls out to Adam "Where art thou? ". The tonal qualities are not there he said, but that he didn't think it was the stern voice of a police officer looking for someone, but that it might have been the heart felt cry of a Father who's son has gone astray. This burnt into my mind. Jesus said from the cross in Luke 23:34 " Father , forgive them; for they know not what they do.
Frame by Frame
In the mist of a falling flight
Cried a bird into song that broke the night
The song he sang carried on the wind
Drove deep the hope were the hope comes to live
Like dreams you've seen and the ones you heard
The things you read on how it should work
Is seldom shown in stills you hold
A weather worn face with veins exposed
There is morning
That sets the pace
In a garden
That starts the race
And a Father
That cries a name
And the story
Is frame by frame
And still the song that fills the night
Drives deep the hope for those seeking light
The rumors spread and the mud does fly
As the hope is broken and torn from life
A sigh of despair as the lost seem right
Is only but a moment but a whisper of time
How the bird now flies deep in the sun
And the song he sings the battle is won
There is morning
That sets the pace
In a garden
That starts the race
And a Father
That cries a name
And the story
Is frame by frame
